The Sandwich Project; Outreach to the homeless people:
Every second week we make some sandwiches, pack a few bags with new socks, underwear, gloves etc, fill our tea thermoses and visit some of the many homeless men and women living on the streets of London. It doesn’t take too much to make someone’s day a little bit better… For information on how to get involved, contact Kat
Abroad projects:
‘Mission Of Love India’ Project was our first charity trip abroad, and in April ‘09 thirteen of us climbed into a plane taking us to the Far East!!
We were working with a local church network in the Meghalaya region, North East India. They are already involved in great projects serving the poor, but were thrilled to receive our help to continue meeting the many needs in their region. Serving the poor abroad is a life changing experience and it helps you get a new perspective on life. We want to be a generous people and we will continue to support projects abroad. For more information about our Abroad projects, contact Grethe
Nehemiah:
Over the last few years now we have supported Nehemiah in South London, which is a great project that rebuilds the lives of broken men.
Nehemiah won The Maxie Richards Award at the Centre for Social Justice Awards 2008, for excellence in addiction treatment. They run programs in prisons, a rehab in Tooting Bec, as well as a move-on program. Check out their webpage to read more about their work and hear testimonies from men who have been transformed: www.nehemiahproject.org.uk.
